Reading: looking for depth of understanding and using multiple sources. If you ignored one side of an issue, that’s not yet above adequate understanding or use of the sources. Development: make sure to use the best possible evidence relating to the topic and integrate it well (no “Source A says,” or “according to Source A” if you can help it - that’s adequate at best). Make sure your evidence and explanation is appropriate to supporting your point. Don’t just summarize the quote, but explain HOW that shows that factor is important. You should have at least two pieces of evidence per paragraph with plentiful commentary! Reflection questions: Think about:
