Today we had our debate! If you missed class today, check out the sources in the blue basket.
We are moving back into synthesis! Here are the slides from today with a quick review/reminders about synthesis. Then you started outlining an argument and reading sources on the topic that could provide evidence to support your argument. If you weren't here and didn't get the sources, grab them from the blue bin when you return.
Today we worked on an MC protocol in class. If you were absent today, you will come in during intervention tomorrow to make up the test or the protocol, depending on whether you were here or absent last Friday.
Here are slides from today. Essay models and scoring commentary are in the Google Classroom.
Thursday students wrote a rhetorical analysis essay and today students completed the multiple choice portion of CIA 5. Congrats on being done!
If you were absent, you'll make up the MC during intervention next week. Absent today during our MC challenge? Please find the questions here.
I handed back the last essay you wrote, and you looked at models of that essay, analyzing what each model did well (a skill you could emulate) or what it could have improved on (that you would like to avoid in your writing). Then you did a self- and peer-reflection using the rubric and references to the models. I can post the models after all students have finished writing the essay.
Here are the slides again for your rhetorical analysis infographic. All other questions can be on the R.A. Infographic subpage of the AP English page.
