If you were absent today, you can see the IAB slides here and the ePortfolio slides on the ePortfolio page. The IAB cannot be accessed at home, so please come into intervention tomorrow or Weds. if you were absent, so I can show you how to access the IAB. Thank you!
(I am posting some slides early for students who told me ahead of time about upcoming absences. If you are looking for today's slides, please scroll down in the page to today's date. Thank you!) In To Kill a Mockingbird, Atticus Finch advised Scout to take others' perspective - to essentially walk a mile in their shoes to understand them. That is the basis for this activity of trying to "walk in someone else's shoes." On 5/30, you are interviewing a partner at your table group about their personality, character, and interests. You are then writing a paragraph about them on 5/31 and creating a drawing of a shoe, which you will present to the class in the last week of school so that your peers can get to know your classmate a little better too. The slides are attached here. If you have other questions, check here.

Over these 2 days, you are going to gain familiarity with the style of prompts you will see in AP English Language. Since this is a pre-AP class, a lot of you are taking AP Lang next year, or at least the year after. You will practice reading and annotating, then discussing, then outlining an essay for, an argument prompt and a rhetorical analysis prompt. If you were absent one day, make sure to get a copy of the previous day's prompt from the red absent bin. The instructions for each day are attached here; make sure to read the ELA 9 slides :) If you have other questions, check here.
