If you earned all of your badges, congratulations! Please submit your essay to Turnitin.com. If you did not finish your badges yet, finish up by the Monday after Spring Break, and email me when you are ready for me to check your badges. I will not be checking my email every day during break, but I will do so occasionally.
Have a great break!

Today you finished up writing your essay and started getting peer reviews for it. Please make sure that if you are behind, you work on your essay tonight so that you don't have to do it over spring break!
Today I reminded you how to format your paper, including MLA format and writing conventions and organization strategies. Here are the slides again (look at the bottom for the slides from 3/22).
All good agents have to be prepared! Today you addressed possible counterarguments by writing a counterargument paragraph and then writing a rebuttal/refutation paragraph to explain why the counterargument isn't correct. Here are the slides again - scroll down for the ones from 3/21 to see today's specifically. Keep track of each step on your mission log and email me when your partner has reviewed saying your work is good. Remember to also look back at the model essay and sentence starters on the slides if you need help.
Your "mission" today was to finish your first 2 body paragraphs by commenting thoroughly on the evidence you have already included, explaining how it supports your thesis. Here are the slides again.
Over the last two days, students have written a thesis statement for their mission proposal and started to gather evidence (both from what you already have in your annotated bibliography from SIRS, and from other credible sources). Students at this point should have their intro paragraph completed and a topic sentence for each body paragraph. Now they are adding evidence (concrete details/quotes) to support their claim/thesis. Here are the slides and here is a model outline. Don't forget, as you take steps to complete your mission, to check off each task on your mission log! Once you believe you are done, let your partner know, and once they've done their peer review, let the Director (Miss Johnson) know so she can tell you if you are ready to advance onto the next part of the mission.
If you were absent today, please read the slides here and go to the Google Classroom to find your mission log, and your essay outline.
If you were absent today, you will make up the rhetorical devices test in intervention on Thursday, 3/16. Please also make sure that you turn in your copy of Night to the library.
Today we finished typing, edited, and then submitted CIA 5. If you were absent, you will make it up during intervention next week.
