Today we looked at writing samples using our analytical writing rubric. If you were absent today, please go to the absent bin when you return and get the handout with the models, then think about how you would score each model and why (4, 3, 2, or 1 for focus, language, and reading/analysis scores).
If you were absent today, you will make up the diagnostic tomorrow.
Today, we turned in our personal narratives after making final edits, and you signed up for some important electronic class programs. See today's slides here, starting at slide 26, for instructions. If you were absent, you will have as many days as you were absent to make-up the assignment. (e.g., if you were absent 1 day, you get 1 extra day to turn in your work.)
If you were absent today, please spend about 20 minutes working on writing your personal narrative, then look it over using the peer review suggestions. You can see today's slides (19 - 25) here.
Please have your parent or guardian read and then sign your academic integrity and bring-your-own-device contracts, which you have already signed. If you were absent today, the intervention will be on September 6th.
T0day you wrote a personal narrative based on your choice of prompt. If you did not finish the narrative, you should finish it for homework by Monday. Today's slides, 10-21, are here. You can find example narratives here to inspire you. Also, we checked out textbooks today, so make sure that you get your books if you were absent.
If you were absent today, you will make up the presentation when you return. Please see the slides from yesterday if you need to see the rubric again.
You are doing a very brief mini-presentation tomorrow. See today's instructional slides, including a rubric, here.
