Today we reviewed some devices (check out the list and quizlets on the right hand side for more review). You also learned how to make a video for your ePortfolio. Videos are due tomorrow night to the Passion section of your ePortfolio; I will be checking them Thursday night and you will earn a 0 or a score (no more late work past the last day of school that I see you!) Need help? Check the ePortfolio subpage and the slides!

We are now finished with all of our 3 trials! I had a good time watching you get into lawyer mode or witness mode so thanks for your work.
Reminders: - bring pictures or videos of your passion tomorrow on a flash drive or add them to your Google Drive. - study for the final on Thursday! The literary and rhetorical devices list is on the right. There are also quizlets to help you study. Thanks for your work to prepare for the trial! Remember that if I told you that you are going tomorrow, you can dress up, and make sure that you bring your notes and graphic organizer. Also, don't forget, textbook return is tomorrow!
Today we ran through the trial to make sure that you know hen it will be your turn to get up and talk tomorrow. If you forgot the order, hover over the ELA 9 page, click on the Romeo and Juliet Mock Trial page, and click on the trial outline. Make sure your notes are ready to go for tomorrow!
You prepared for your trial by completing the graphic organizer for your role and practicing what you were going to say. Here are the slides (including important reminders and announcements).
Optional Survey for a students' stats class about your favorite ice cream flavor If you were absent today, please pick up the 2 excerpts from the absent bin when you return on Monday; they will be helpful to you in the trial but also in life!
Reminder that all late work, revisions, and ePortfolio questions are due at 11:59 pm tonight. Make sure that you submit everything to the right place, and that you email me what you turned in and where if you're submitting work late. If you were absent today, please look at the slides here and take some notes on what makes an excellent trial. Make sure to watch at least the first few minutes of a trial video and make note of strategies that you want to try.
Remember, the deadline for late work, revisions, AND ePortfolios is Friday/tomorrow! Please look at the ePortfolio page if you have questions about it. If you were absent today, read Act 5 on your own; you can get the link to the "No Fear Shakespeare" for each scene by opening the slides from today.
If you were absent today, please look at the Act 4 slides on this presentation to look at what scenes we focused on. Please also look at the Romeo and Juliet Mock Trial resources page so you can look at the modern language of the play on No Fear Shakespeare if you need to.
While you are gathering evidence, remember that there is a list of where to find good evidence, also on the Romeo and Juliet resources page. |
